Top 4 Gambling Operators Fined by Spelinspektionen

The Swedish Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen, fined a total of 18 online gambling operators. According to news, the licensing agency fined a total of $4.4 million to the eight operators after it broke the agency’s strict regulations regarding sports betting.
The four gambling operators who broke the sports betting regulation handled wagers from gamblers below the age of 18. Under the Swedish gambling law, the participants in gambling sites must be above the age of 18 and have a prohibition on the use of children in gambling activities.
Gambling Operators Fined by Spelinspektionen
- Cherry AB
Cherry AB is the operator of ComeOn casino, which broke the underage gambling regulations on the site. The online casino fined a total of $620 thousand to the regulatory board. ComeOn casino operates from Scandinavia and currently owns other online casinos like Sunmaker, Sunny Player Casino, and nine other online casinos.

Spelinspektionen recently revoked the license of Global Gaming for its severe deficiencies in the Know Your Customer policy. There was also money laundering issues which the company later appealed from the agency. However, the Swedish Gambling Authority continued its suspension in the company’s Sweden operations while the agency reviews its license.
Among all the operators fined by Spelinspektionen, only one company paid its fine in 2019. The company, Paf, is an Aland-based operator who had the smallest fine among all the operators fined by the agency.
